Why Clean Out Your Fridge? I have to admit making dinner isn’t one of my favorite things to do.  I used to love to prepare food until my kids got older and started to get picky, they wanted pizza instead of veggies! I admit so did it! But as a mother we know our kids bodies need nutrients to support healthy growth and brain power.  For so many years they loved everything I made and rarely complained.  For me it is a hard balance to create something that is healthy and that tastes good to my husband and kids.  What makes things worse is when I go to the fridge to decide what to make for dinner and it’s a mess.  I want to just shut the fridge and not make dinner! Cleaning out a fridge isn’t usually top on a to do list but it should be! Let me tell you why. One day after cleaning out my fridge and organizing things I had a new idea come to my mind on how to simplify my life.  I say life because meal time stressed out a lot. My new way of planning dinner is fabulous! I ask each of my kids and my husband what they would like to have for dinner for the upcoming week.  We have made a deal that with every meal they also pick a vegetable and salad to go with it.  I write down the menu for the week, make a list of things to buy and put all fridge ingredients in my organized fridge.  It doesn’t always work out perfect but just...

When I first started eating better in the morning I thought I was going to starve! I was so used to cereal, toast and other heavy, and processed food that I didn’t feel like I was getting enough.  Mostly it was just the mental cravings.  Once I got passed that I realized I felt amazing! Organize your Pantry

What does your pantry look like? What I didn’t show in this video is my 2nd pantry (which is much larger than the one in the video).  Between the two I was overwhelmed and disorganized when it came to my meal and snack planning.  I can not tell you how worth it was to pay two of my neighbor girls down the street to clean out my pantry. After they were organized I made a menu for the week, added the ingredients I needed to my shopping list and before I knew it I had cut up veggies and plenty of fruit in the fridge with a meal plan in place (see my upcoming video on organizing your fridge).  I was surprised at the weight this lifted off my shoulders! My mind literally felt more clear and my daily To Do list much more doable. What is even more important to know is that our surroundings represent what is going on inside of us.  Your garage, your closet, drawer, even inside your car.  I challenge you to make a list on what needs to be cleaned out and Organized.
